Akshar media`s maiden film The Hangman was previewed for press, media and family friends.
The story is about a hangman Shiva who had executed many criminals. Shiva`s family had been following this profession since many generations. His wife Parvati hates it as she thinks it had taken away her father`s life. She always pushes Shiva to take early retirement from his job.
Shiva always wanted his son to be a Policeman. He send`s his son to the city for higher education. In the city his son murder`s a rich business man`s son.
As this happen`s Parvati gets the good news in village that the Government had relieved Shiva from his duty.
Will Parvati comes to know about the fate of her son? What happen`s to Shiva?
Hangman is surely a Om Puri`s movie as we see some excellent performance from him. Om Puri has one more feather in the list of his performances.
Directed by Vishal Bhandari and produced by Bipin Patel and Anoli Patel. The film also stars Gulshan Grover, Smita Jayakar, Tom Alter, Shreyas Talpade, Nazneen and Amrita Bedi.
Senior Bollywood Actor Anil Kapoor blessed the producers with success and the producers were introduced to the audience by Manu Nair of Bombay Dreams.
