One thing to consider is when you get to actually do hands-on experience with a camera. I know schools like USC don't allow you to touch the camera for 2 years. So you might wanna factor that in.
Another thing to consider, if you're tight on budget, is to spend that money on a nice camera and gear and get Dov Simens 2-day film school for about $400 and just keep shooting and shooting.
I've worked on over 50 student films as an actors and even helped with some behind the scenes too. The main problem I saw repeatedly with film schools is that the students have too much on their plate and never complete one project to 100%. The sound is never done or the editings is not as sweet as is should be because of the tight deadlines. But hey that's my 2 cents.
