    Casting call for NEVERMIND NIRVANA

Just forwarding this from another list. I did a quick scan of the entries in the
Film & TV forum and did not see this casting call listed--my apologies if this is a
    duplicate.

Here is a note to SAJA from Carrie Simons, a senior press officer at NBC entertainment:
a casting call for desi actor...

All details are below. If you know desis - actors and non-actors - who fit the descriptions below, let them know about this. If you are a journalist who wants to cover this, you can contact Carrie at the number below.

As I understand it, this is one of the very first time something of this scale has been undertaken by a major US network.

Re: Casting call for NEVERMIND NIRVANA

Hi, I am an actor from India.  I am in NYC.  Last week (Jan. 30, 2010), I played the role of Lawyer for Chemical Ali in the breaking news section of the Saturday Night Live.  I were a student of Dean Rusk and worked as a Legal Officer with the Office of Legal Affairs, United Nations.  After the events 9/11, I became a full time actor with a Super Bowl gig of VISA commercial with Kevin Bacon.
Subsequently, I studied with Alan Arkin (Sr.) and upon his advice I spent 2 year studying with Austin Pendleton in NYC.
I have a website with my resume and other details at www.raorampilla.com .  I can be reached at (646) 256-0896 cell or email me at nrrampilla@hotmail.com.  Thank you very much for your consideration.
    Cordially,
