I can’t stand censorship (maybe I can let it slide with the basic 3 networks: ABC, NBC, CBS and I’ll even throw in PBS for good measure) but outside of that I hate it – yes, hate is a strong word, but it’s still an understatement. However, I can’t stand hypocrisy even more than censorship. When I was in India on one of my trips either ’98 or 2001, I was shocked (not offended, mind you, but just shocked) to see this video on TV in the middle of the day on any of their MTV-equivalent stations which obviously had passed their “strict” censorship board.
Then check out other films like ‘Jism’ (in Hindi it means ‘body’; over here in the US it means something more closer to what we’d see if we let the two carry on after the cameras stop rolling and threw in a couple of equis).
